any idea if/when this will trickle down to us?

the grad plus loans at 8.5% +3% fee and stafford unsubsidized at 6.8% and 4% fee are rediculous.

Also, Im going into my third year, and I will have to take out loans before they could possibly change by July 1, 08. which sucks too, unless i can postpone it somehow...

anyone have any ideas?

thanks

It won't. The rates are 6.8% fixed. The old-skool Stafford loans used to be adjustable rate, but these are fixed. It will take an act of Congress to change their rate.

I do wonder if private loans will start looking more attractive than GradPlus.

For now....Those are adjustable rate loans. They would have to fall a couple more points for me to take the risk, but the two are pretty close.
