Have you already had an interview???? ....... what were you asked????

(You don't have to tell us what schools asked you which questions if you don't want to)

So......

Tell us the easy the questions you were asked..... the SHOCKING questions.... the questions you got stuck on.

Thanks guys and I appreciate your help!!!

look thru sdn for the interview section-people leave feedback on their interviews at different schools. its a lot more helpful than asking for help on the forum and more specific.

My dental interviews have been surprisingly informal, sans one. Most were very relaxed conversations about local sport teams, traveling with the new FAA security restrictions, and skiing... with a few standard questions thrown in every now and then. Standard questions included:

Why Dentistry?
Why (insert school's name here)?

However, as i said earlier, there was one interview that really stood out as being, well, full of questions that spanned the whole the gamut. They asked me general knowledge questions such as:

-how many teeth does a human adult have?
-what's the population of the U.S.?
-what's the current weather phenomenom we are experiencing?

then they also asked me some ethical dilemma questions such as:

-what do you do if a patient who is a minor checks off that she is pregnant on her health background sheet?

-et cetera

I dunno, I've found all my interviews to be very enjoyable experiences. Even the last one. Its an opportunity to miss class, meet new people, and have some interesting discussions. If you're narcissitic, you'll enjoy interviewing even more than I did as they're all about, well, you!

ASDOH?

You forgot a few....where have we discovered oil recently?

How many soldiers have died in Iraq to date?

How many dental schools are there?

It is for sure ATSU.

GUYS, what would YOU do if your patient who is a minor checks off her form that she is pregnant??? Your role as a oral healthcare provider has just been extended!!!!!! 😀

Someone on Adcom asked me... Can your husband find work here? I thought, um... I wish I could tell the future, bc that could really help out with loans.. and exams, and a lot of other things.

guys, let's be a little more respectful. please? 🙂

the hardest question asked was: should dentists tell patients everything about dental procedures? ( think about that one)
every other question were the usually asked questions during a medical/dental interview
