If you got below an 8 on the MCAT Verbal

For those premeds who got an 8 or below on the MCAT Verbal... what do you think was the cause?
Did you feel you that you did fine when you were taking the MCAT verbal, but were surprised to see your score?
Were you scoring below an 8 on practices?
Was it a fluke on test day?

My problem was that I pushed myself wayyy too far and got too stressed out that I couldn't focus at all. I'm retaking it soon and I'm doing a lot better (above 9) when I try to focus on the actual passages and questions instead of my score.
