don't hear anything for a while, does that mean the school has looked at the app but is thinking that your GPA is not high enough so the school hasn't rejected you yet but is waiting for academic update later or something like that?

from what i know, most schools let you know whether you are invited for an interview or rejected.

if anyone knows about this and can share, that'd be great.

You have to remember that some schools will take a long time until they start sending out any interviews. Tufts, for example, won't start sending out invites until October, so it's normal for you to wait long periods of time without hearing anything. But if you haven't heard anything from one school and you know they have already been sending out interviews/rejections, they are probably unsure about your application and continually reviewing it and comparing it to other applicants. Some schools won't even send out rejections until late in the spring..
