hypothetically speaking, if you submit your primary, and secondaries with a future MCAT indicated on AMCAS,


but then decide not to retake,subsequently, change the status to "no additional retake"....

Will this automatically be updated to all schools or will you file still be on hold at most places?
 
I am assuming that the schools are automatically updated so long as you updated your AMCAS status because I was in the same boat but am complete now at most schools.
 
I really don't have an idea, but my guess would be as follows:

They'll get the change "immediately" via AMCAS. But given that the office would have probably put your application aside until sometime in the future when your scores would be in, and probably have a bunch that they were already set to look at, you may not get looked at immediately. Your review might me more commensurate with if they had waited for scores from you, or at least till the pile that were ready to go are done with.

Again, just my thought, I'm not sure how any particular admissions committee would deal with it.
 
Make sure you re-certify and re-submit your application after this aforementioned change.
