Even if what you say is 100% what happened (doubt it), there is absolutely nothing you can do. Put the possibility out of your mind.
If you are on the wait list, try like hell to get off by calling/writing letters of intent, etc, but DO NOT MENTION YOUR SUSPICIONS TO THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE OR ELSE YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A PARANOID CRAZY PERSON. Because that's what you look like here.

It really doesn't look like you have any proof that your friend got in only because of that connection with the senator. You look like very similar candidates on paper so trying to say that the only reason he got put ahead of you was the senator is a stretch. You have no way of knowing that you are the next person down on the list to say that "he took my spot". In addition even if it did all work as you imagine it there's nothing you can do about it. In the world of medicine sometimes networking gets you places and maybe this kid networked better than you. Either way calling the adcom and accusing them of this is sure to get you bumped further down their waitlist which certainly won't help you at all. Just accept it and hope that you're the next one they call. And if you don't get off that waitlist you need to make your app stronger for next year instead of fixating on how someone else took your spot.

Maybe this is why he was called off before you. Not the situation, but THIS kind of crap.
2 points on the MCAT isn't that much in that range. Maybe he was a more interesting person. Maybe you didn't interview as well as you thought. Maybe they don't give a damn about the fact your mom did her RESIDENCY at the school and you lived in the same state as the school, especially if it is private. I think attributing one internship thing and this whole conspiracy theory thing is a little low on the list of what probably happened.
