I'm a vetren LP patient here in australia. i've had about 4 of them via fluroscope all were for IIH, my first i had an opening pressure of 65cm H2O and the second one i had an opening pressure of 21cm H2O! these have been the worse ones and broke 2 hospital records. half of my brain's drainage system works because the other half never developed.
this is after about 12-18mths of headaches, migraines then i had recent onset pulsatile tinnitus, papilledema and other visual disturbances and being told to go straight to the ED if i get a headache....kinda scary. really just wondering if you think much about Idiopathic intracranial hypertension as a diagnosis for women of child bearing age, overweight or not and on OC that have a negative Head CT??
i didn't know about it but 132 women in the US have this....thats like 20% of the population..i'm one of 50 people in my state in australia....bloody crippling is what it is.
