Hi I need some guidance. My IM COMAT is in a week and a half and I've been doing UWorld. I feel like I have a good handle on the material but then I get around 50-60% on my UWorld sets. I've been watching OnlineMedEd and I read through Case Files: Internal Medicine.

Is there anything else I should be doing or am I just stupid?

Uworld cards in Dorian IM anki deck. It was straight gold. There’s a ton so maybe just for stuff you feel weakest in. As long as you’re learning from those questions in uworld, it’s okay to get them wrong. How many have you done?

I’m not sure how high yield neuro is bc I think I just had one question. But these comats are super variable so you never know.

Neuro isn't high yield for your IM Comat. Neuro is extremely high yield for Psych COMAT. In order to honor the Psych COMAT, you need to study both Psych and Neuro.

I've done over 500 medicine questions already, but I'll take a look at the Dorian deck!

Unless it's changed over the past 4 year or so, mine was ridiculous. Lots of rheum, MSK and literally not one question on anything cardiology related. It'll be a s*** show in true NBOME form, regardless. But do yourself a favor and keep doing UW questions because half of this is about passing stuff and the other half is about actually learning what it takes to be a doctor.

Do the COMBANK Comat questions. There are only like 130 or so. I had multiple questions on my Comat that were extremely similar to those, one of them was just about word for word. Other than that I think you'll do just fine with what you've described so far. Honestly that's more than a lot of people do.

I read Step Up to Medicine, did COMQUEST twice. I think that was enough. With a week and half left, probably best to hammer some COMAT specific questions TBH and get used to the style. You've more than likely got the knowledge base down if you got 1-2 decent IM rotations in there. No guarantee you'll score high on these tests it's an absolute crapshoot.

I did all of Combanks gen IM questions and I did all of the IM comat questions for Comquest. That was more than sufficient for the exam. It sounds like you have done enough OP.

I found COMQUEST to be much more helpful than UWORLD, personally. This is true for all the COMATs that I have taken thus far, actually. I have actually abandoned UWORLD altogether at this point and am just sticking with COMQUEST +/- some video series or review book. As others have said, I have encountered near-verbatim questions on the COMAT that I saw on COMQUEST. The same cannot be said regarding UWORLD.

Thanks! I'm just tryna pass every COMAT; would be cool if I got an honors, but not needed.

Thanks for the help! I'll probably switch to doing COMQUEST for the last week then.
