I used the 8-week study schedule posted on SDN. I mixed it up, combining some of the first four weeks so I could go out and have a good time once/twice a week. If you are trying to plan your study schedule, I would really dedicate a summer to studying this stuff. I think the school year would be too busy, but that is just my opinion.
Bio- Didn't do as well, but I used Cliff's for the majority of it. I would read the first day quickly, followed by the notes the second day. I never had time to really review them toward the end though. The way I studied the last four weeks (the destroyer weeks) was I would take destroyer, and based on what I missed I would write down a topic or two each day to review. I would go back and retake notes on that portion, many times using a different source to get some variety. Put those notes in a spiral-bound notebook and every day would add to it. Did that for the four weeks and right around the last week, I went back and reviewed everything that had given me trouble during the Destroyer tests. I would also recommend the DAT Bootcamp tests.. Only took the free one.
GC- Chad's and Destroyer. Basically watched them once, but realized that I forgot some info around week 5 or 6, so I went back and rewatched the last few chapters. Basically Acids and Bases and Electrochem.
OC- Chad's and Destroyer. I really liked Destroyer and I think that you can get a lot if you really focus on learning the basics. You cannot try to memorize anything unless you just took an Ochem class. I took Ochem three years ago.. (Lol, i feel old) Really focus on the Roadmaps, and I even broke the roadmap into categories (ex. Oxidation, Reduction, Alkene, etc.) I DID NOT MEMORIZE ALMOST ANY REACTION. Some of the stereochem info is important for reactions, but nothing else. If you can get a good grasp on predicting the product, and can get through destroyer each day without missing more than around 9 (and learning what you missed) then I think you will do well. OChem for me was all about just seeing a TON of questions.
RC and QR- didn't study almost at all.. RC once and QR I did the Destroyer questions just to do them. They were good, really hard though.
PAT- Didnt focus on it much because of my 22 the first time. For me, I have talked to one admission's director that basically made it seem as if people are ranked more based on GPA and AA then your PAT score. The PAT score is more of a check in the box... Did he/she do well (above a 19 or so). The difference between a 20 and a 22 didn't seem like as big of a deal as the difference in AA.
