Hey you beautiful people!

Dr. Lisa Deem (Dean of Admissions and Student Services) of Temple University just emailed me and told me that I'm invited for an interview!!! I have not scheduled a date yet, but I will do that tomorrow.

Are any of you going to Temple for an interview soon? And for those of you who had an interview already at Temple, please share some of your wisdom and experience!?

Listen bud, I'm simply excited that I now have the opportunity to present my motivation for my dental education. According to Dr. Deem, I earned my interview invite solely based on my last 3 semesters of grades and my new DAT scores! She said based on those numbers, she strongly believes that I can heck their dental curriculum. So all this shows is that if you have a prominent GPA/grade trend in heavy load upper division/graduate level science courses and a conveniencing DAT scores, you CAN too earn an interview! Even when you applied late in the application cycle.

So, study hard my friend for the DAT!

CONGRATS! See... you had nothing to worry about! I'm sure this isn't the end of the interviews either!

One thing... watch yourself in Temple. Apparently the crime around the campus is pretty bad!

I'm looking forward to my Philly visit next week! I scheduled my interview today for Friday, Feb. 8, 2002. I also plan on swinging by U. Penn. just to check out the dental school and to introduce myself to Corky Cacas (Admissions Coordinator) while I'm there in Philly.

Listen to this, I've been searching for a place to crash and I'm thinking about these options:

1. My undergrad fraternity house at U. Penn
2. Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity house at Temple
3. a current dental student's place (the admissions directors Mark Lombard hopefully will set me up)
OR 4. my friend in law school at Rutgers across the river in Jersey!

I want to save money where I can, I'm sure you all can relate! I will definitely keep all of you posted on my interview trip and application progress. For now, I'm going out to party and get a little loopy!
