Hi! I'm new and just wanted to say hi. I?ve been reading a lot of the threads and have to say how much great information I have gotten. I'm applying to Midwestern-Glendale this fall. I just started a job as a pharmacy tec. last week. I know its not much experience, but it seems like everyone around here is going into pharmacy so the opportunities have been few and far between. I?ve been trying to find some kind of volunteer opportunities as well which isn?t going that great. Anyway, keep the great information coming its been very helpful!

Starting as a pharmacy tech is great because you will be able to see if you like the retail part of the profession or not. Plus you get to learn some of the names of the drugs which will be very helpful in your classes in pharmacy school. Midwestern Glenndale is a wonderful school. If your interested in three year programs though, you may want to check out Las Vegas. They are newer, but from what i've heard most people, students are very happy there. If anything it will be a good backup school in case you dont get into Midwestern. Plus Las Vegas has an awesome ciriculum on block scheduling. I wish my program did that. Hope this helps!!

Thanks Cyclopropane. I have already learned alot. I think I am going to take a year after getting my BS and retaking a couple courses and taking some other courses that Ihaven't gotten to take yet before I go to pharm school.
