These interview trips are wearing me out. Plus I'm spending all my money. And on top of that, I'm missing work with each trip, so I have less money to spend. I have borrowed almost a grand from my freaking mom for these trips. I am 30, and should not be asking my mom for anything. And honestly, if it was for anything else, including a life-saving surgery, she probably would have told me to go **** myself, and rightly so.
I feel like I've seen enough med schools to make an intelligent decision, and I can't say that it will matter to me very much where I end up. Once school starts, its going to be me and my books, regardless of where I end up.
LECOM-B wowed me with their PBL. GA-PCOM has Atlanta and the PCOM name. I have no doubt that KCOM will appeal to me with their apparent emphasis on an active lifestyle, and they will show me why they are the big daddy DO school with their badass facilities and great history.
I'm also visiting DMU and KCUMB on this trip. DMU also supposedly has wonderful facilities, and KCUMB seems to do a great job of selling themselves. With good reason, I'm sure.
I have also interviewed at MD schools before, and I have seen enough others to realize that its all the same ****. You and your books.
If I have even one option on December 14th, I'm going to take it. If I have two options, I may flip a coin. Or come here and post a "x vs. y vs. z" thread and let you guys make the decision for me.
I just want to move on. Find out where I'm going, find a place to live there, and focus on finishing up this superfluous degree and training for ****loads of triathlons. The end.
