Haha, sorry for the alternating letters and magical squiggles added to the title... just needed to grab some attention. Proceeding, I have the DAT in 4 days ahhh! Im getting beyond intimated because of Achiever. I know and I read that it dampers your hopes to do well, but all my friends/family all having macs I had to settle. I just wanted to be reassured that making 17/18s on the science portions is okay?! The RC is tearing me a new one with 15s, and PAT isnt bad except for Keyholes/Pattern folding (17s), but I have been getting 20-22s on CDP. QR is kinda tough (17s too), but Chad's videos + Regular Destroyer seem to help a lot. If you can, please let me know your input on if I need to focus on anything specifically!

Ha. We take the DAT on the same day. I wouldn't sweat Achiever too much. I'm getting killed in Achiever RC right now. My scores are around 15-16. Achiever RC is such a piece of crap. I don't even think the person who wrote those passages speaks English. The wording is awkward. There is no structure, transition, or flow. The only reason I'm finishing it is because I have OCD and it bothers me if I start something and don't finish. Right now Achiever is basically an endurance test and an exercise in masochism for me. I did pretty well on CDR but I've heard real DAT is harder. So likewise I'm not getting overconfident. Achiever sucks and I wish I never wasted my money on it.

I used Achiever and it is way harder than the real thing. Don't let it demoralize you, but learn from your mistakes and move on. I thought the RC and QR on Achiever were much more difficult than the real thing and I skipped those sections on my last achiever test and focused on the sciences instead. Achiever PAT is also really difficult because they give impossible angles for keyholes. I was scored 16,18,18 on their PAT section and got a 22 on the real thing. I'm not saying your score will also jump 4 points, but there's no way you'll get a 17 on the real thing because it's not as bad as Achiever. Good luck and go in with confidence! If you haven't taken the 2007/2009 released DATs, I suggest you check them out for a better indication of how you're doing!

Haha thanks, a lot. Just took my final Achiever test and it made me much more depressed lol, even after going into it with the mindset that its not an accurate representation. Stupid RC and elimination questions for Bio make me overthink!

don't sweat, man. Achiever only tells you what to focus on for your studies. I wouldn't use it for predicting real scores...coz it was way different from what I got. To make you feel better, my last Achiever test, I got 16Bio 14RC, 18AA. I wasn't demoralized bcoz I know my RC will suck big time anyways and bio wouldn't be this specific. Overall Achiever was good to use in that i had so much time left for the sciences to recheck my answers. Hope you do well on your test!! Good luck!!

16 is fine; i got a 17 on the 1st test and skipped RC on the second. that means you'll get at least 18 or 19 on the real thing maybe more.

Achiever questions are confusing as hell I often dont know what they want from me. I redid the same test w/o looking at the problems (RC section) and got the same exact score lol (one time i used S&D and the other time I read)
