Im so confused, Im submitting my eras application and there are no PGY2 positions available (Reserved for Physicians Only)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Because you start as a PGY1. Psych is categorical, so it is only one "block". Specialties like Radiology require a preliminary year, so people can do a prelim somewhere else and go for pgy2+ at another institution.

So in terms of applying as a PGY2 I need to contact programs directly rather than ERAS? I'm honestly willing to start again as a PGY-1 but Id prefer to continue on as a PGY-2

it would be helpful if you provided any information at all regarding your situation.

There are generally some specifically PGY2 Psych slots afaik.
