So I'm still under review for Boston University and I haven't had an interview either.
Since it's almost June 3rd for reapplying, I sent them an email to see if they have made a decision.

They responded that they do send occasional interviews until the end of July...

I'm sorry but I'm frustrated with this because they're giving me a sliver of hope in getting in and at the same time holding me back from moving on...

I have a post bacc program that I need to officially enroll in which starts in August, find housing, and reapply for the new cycle if I don't get in.

what are your thoughts? The chances of getting into BU is pretty slim right? I don't understand why they don't have their new class decided yet and why they're holding onto an application when an interview wasn't even offered.

Should I just continue my plans on reapplying?

Hi, I'm pretty sure BU has their 115 decided already, but they're keeping you in case there is a possibility of a lot of people dropping out last minute. I know BU interviews very few candidates (330ppl for 115 spots). I say, apply for the next cycle, because chances at this point are slim to none.

Ohh I see thanks for the tip! I appreciate it.
Is the dropping rate high for BU since it's such an expensive school?

I would place USC, BU, Tufts, and NYU in the same category: the ridiculously expensive category... and so dropping rate is usually pretty high. I wouldn't say they're bad schools. They're just mind-boggingly expensive. Not to mention 20-30% of current BU seat holders are Canadians, and the Canadians schools are sending out acceptances about now. Canadians, I expect, would choose schools in Canada because the tuition is ridiculously cheap (at least compare to the US).

Hmm I see what you're talking about.

A friend who's doing the post bacc program with me also offered to live in a nice place for housing too. She said it's competitive to get the place so we need to sign the lease soon.
However, I feel uneasy signing a lease contract when its not set in stone..
