I'm such a dumb ask

I have a part time job, two days a week. I asked my boss for a letter of recommendation on Tuesday. I forget to show up yesterday for the first time in the year I've worked there. Just completely forgot. I was filling out my application and working on my personal statement... I think this is one of the dumbest things I've ever done... I feel terrible, I hope my letter isn't altered to show what a jackass I am.

burn down his office before he can write the letter! Or have him make several copies and you send one in and do what ever you want with the rest. (But don't read the extra one before you send in the one... )
