I'm taking the MCAT in August, but I still sent in my AMCAS June 10th... I'm getting a lot of secondaries from schools who don't pre-screen now. Will it matter if I wait to do the secondaries after my MCAT since all med schools won't have my MCAT until early September anyway? Or does it give me an advantage to send in secondaries ASAP even though they won't have my MCAT? What are y'alls opinions? Should I just focus on my studying...? Thanks!

I believe your application will not be marked complete without your MCAT score regardless of you sending in secondaries. (Therefore I don't think schools will even look at your secondaries without an MCAT score). I would definitely have all your secondaries pre-written by the date your MCAT score comes out though. If I were you I would focus on studying now, and then start prewriting after August 3rd. That way you will be complete as soon as your score comes out.

doesn't matter until MCAT is in, pre-write the secondaries while waiting for your score, focus on studying now

Lots of schools give you personal deadlines for secondaries (like 4 weeks after the email is sent to you personally). I'm not sure if that still applies if your MCAT won't be coming in for a couple of months but I would ask the schools

Realize that your application will be effectively put on hold until September at every school you apply to. This is late and will put you at a disadvantage, especially if you don't score well.
