Hi, guys! I am applying this year for anesthesia. I calculated the cost for applying, and it got much more expensive when you started to apply to more than 30 programs.
Here's my question. To what programs should I apply? Do I have a chance to get an interview from top-tier programs, like Duke, BID/Brighams/MGH, UPenn or Northwestern?
My credentials are; IMG, no gaps, have been working as a postdoc, Step1 - 24x, Step2ck - 24x, Step2cs - pass, Step3 - 22x, currently 5 + potentially 2 more publications (I have a green card).
I am interested in programs that has research combined track, but they tend to be only in the top-tier programs. The answer will reveal itself after I apply, but I don't want to waste money on programs that it's guaranteed that I will not get an interview. Thank you for your input and feedback.
