I know questions come up a fair bit as IMG's/FMG's try to make their way to the U.S. for residency. I found out the residency program coordinator from my old program started offering private support services to those interested in having someone with experience on the residency program side review their materials and assist in various ways (application reviews and suggestions, editing suggestions, mock interviews, etc.).
I did not utilize such formal services, but they're out there and might be useful. I don't make any money from such ventures, but since there is a personal working history, to avoid stepping on the no_advertising_on_SDN_without_paying_for_it clause I'll merely point out that such services exist and are an option.
