IMG Friendly Lists and Match / Residency Services

Hi all,

I just wanted your opinion on the numerous available "IMG Friendly Hospital" lists out there. I will be applying to Internal Medicine (categorical) this year. They seem highly variable. Is there a "definitive list" out there? 😕

I also came across a site (MatchAResident.com) with an interesting "search engine" based on your stats, and some useful data like the % of IMG's in a program, and visa offerings. Does anyone have any personal, or secondhand experience of this or similar sites? Credibility wise especially... because it costs $75 😱 to get full acess to the IM list.

It might be a good idea to get together with a few people and buy a membership together and share the information.

If you're willing to put in some work, I don't think it's necessary to pay for something like this. If you do a search (once you get into ERAS) and search for the programs, there can be statistics list of how many FMGS they currently have, how many they've had in the past few years, etc. Also, if in doubt...you can email or call programs directly and that'd be free 🙂.
