being a caribbean med student i was taken back by this year's the drop in IMG matched positions by half....i was wondering if anyone knew of any IMG friendly ophtho programs?
my step 1 is fairly competitive @ 245 and im taking step 2 at the end of this month, however, i wont be doing my ophtho eletive till november and i don't have research/publications in...so i've mixed feelings about my application ....should i also apply for the general match in surgery/IM as a back up?
any thoughts?
