Immunization Schedule for Peds Shelf?

I was looking through the step 2 secrets book and it indicated that we didnt need to know the actual schedule for immunization for step 2; however, we did need to know which vaccines were contraindicated in which individuals, etc..

is this the same deal for the shelf?

Don't worry about schedules, but know when to give them and when not to based on circumstances, etc. In any case, I didn't have more than a few questions related to vaccines

Yes, any rule that applies to Step 2 applies to the shelf exams (Step 2 is basically a BIG shelf). You don't need the know a vaccination schedule since it changes almost monthly, and therefore it would be almost impossible to keep the exam questions current.

But you're right, you should know contraindications, types of vaccines, etc.
