Got to vaccinate 40 peeps in orange county today. Good stuff. This was the phattest indie pharmacy i've seen in a while. Huge site with examination rooms, natural medicine area, diabetes and asthma therapy areas, diet section, and full med supply. They were doing full medication review with patients (alot of redundant poly pharmacy going on out there in the geriatric population) We have plenty of work to do.

Many years ago, my 91Bravo class did injection training. We paired up in a line, each armed with a 3CC syinge filled with saline and administered an intramuscular injection into the deltoid muscle of our partner. My injection went without a hitch. I turned my head away to receive my injection so I wouldn't get squeemish and missed what happened till I heard a thud as my partner hit the floor.

He had aspirated blood into the syringe and so did not inject. When he attempted to remove the needle the syringe had come loose from the needle shaft leaving the needle in my arm dripping blood. It was too much for him. He passed out cold.
