Can someone please explain why MHC class 1 molecules involve both HUMORAL and CELL MEDIATED immunity? I thought only cytotoxic T cells recognize MHC class 1 molecules (which are a part of cell mediated immunity). The only thing I can think of is if antibodies (which are a part of humoral immunity) can bind to MHC class 1 molecules. I know this is prb a bit advanced for the DAT (...its for my immunology course) but I thought try asking it here, thanks!
