I sent this email to washington U:

On an internet discussion board that I frequent, a number of
individuals are reporting that Wash U is no longer extending offers of
admission and that all interviews now taking place will, at best, allow
an
individual to be placed on the waiting list. Is this true?

Response from washington U:
No, that is not true. The Committee on Admissions will continue to
make
offers of acceptance for as long as we continue to conduct interviews.
Thank you,

I'm getting confused with all this different info. When I went to go interview, the adcom rep said they'd be filling up the rest of their class (~50 spots left) on Feb. 14. But then right after that he said, "But you could hear back from us any time from now until May 15."

I'm thinking that they only accepted a few people on Feb. 14, and are waiting for the next round of interviews to finish so they can pool all the remaining candidates together and decide on them in about two to three weeks. Is the theory sound?

When I called regarding my application status I was told that they still have not voted on my application and that it can be anytime until April 15. I think that although WashU might have already sent out all acceptances to fill the class, they won't send out waitlist/rejections until April 15. Until then I guess they just wait and see who turns them down and then accept another person.
