Hi!

I have been using the Kaplan DAt book (which uses the metric system) to study for the OAT. I did some Kaplan Practice tests today and realized that a lot of the questions use imperial sysem (ie. lbs, ft, etc). Is this the way the real OAT is? If so, where can I find info on how to do the calculations using imperial measures? Also, it says in the OAT outline, that for the QR section we are responsible for "conversion". What does this mean exactly, like converting from farenheit to celcius and feet to yards, or something else?

I believe that the OAT uses both this and the metric system. For conversions, I'm sure you can look it up online somewhere. It's pretty basic stuff so you should be able to find it easily.

I'm not sure exactly what is meant by the "conversion" in the QR section, but I interpret this as being able to convert feet to yards to miles, seconds to hours etc. Once again, just use stoichiometry instead of doing it in your head, cuz you don't have time to make stupid mistakes on the QR section. That last section is all about beating the clock. The math is pretty basic if you've at least completed trigonometry. Good luck!
