hey, for Canadians who have experience applying to US schools, i was wondering if someone could answer the following question:
which US schools look at the carving score for Canadian DAT? i got a really low score (i.e. 5) and was wondering if there are any schools that I could apply to?

such a stupid section anyway. Especially with the crap bath soap they give you with dull rusty blade.

lol doc toothache, i hope you're on the adcom for the school i apply to and hope adcoms actually are putting outcomes of that article into practice..

i had an 8 in carving and was accepted by nyu,case,n0va

yeah I got an 8 in carving and got in. Don't worry about it at all.

yay! great to hear that...which schools did u get into MacPreDent?

Just to get a basic idea of how i would fare...do u think i would be competitive enough in the international category with gpa 3.77 on ADSAS scale, AA 21, TS 22, RC 19, PA 21 in addition to carving 5...

thanks

got into BU and yes you would be absolutely competitive based on that info. Be sure to do some shadowing.
EDIT: competitive at Canadian friendly schools that is.

thanks for the replies...does anyone know (or has had experience?) if schools such as Upenn and Columbia would overlook a low carving score?

c'mon can anyone share their experience with interviewing at upenn or columbia with a low carvinng score...please🙂

ya well u guys are lucky u don't have to worry about carving. If you are in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and BC they emphasize carving a lot.

I win - I got a 4 in carving and I got into University of Toronto.
