If we have a good gpa and a good OAT score how important is the personal statement? I still put a good bit of work in mine but I'm curious as too how much it affects out application process.
its pretty important. a good gpa and good oat indicate that you're smart enough academically to make it through optometry school, but the essay will show them you're committed and passionate about the profession, and why you want to do it.
