IMPORTANCE OF STRONG ALUM NETWORK after graduation.. QUES FOR NYU STUDENTS!

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
NYU is a private, dental factory. Unless you're going to live off your parents for 4 years while living in NYC and learn a lot on your own, I would go to Michigan. Considering what took place in 2005, I'm not too sure all of a sudden...

I've come to realize networking doesn't mean shiz. Do good dentistry and stay alert to new, effective techniques. Dentists don't give shiz about what school you graduated from. As long as you strive to be a good clinician and business manager, you'll find a good mentor to work with. You'll open a practice in 4-5 years after you graduate anyways. A lot of dentistry are self-taught, I think.

By the way, I don't go to NYU. Maybe this wasn't my place to say anything...

hmm.. but i feel that most lectures that is taught to you .. you still have to reteach the material to yourself in a way you understood it. That's how i felt coming from my undergrad and i dind' treally have a problem striving...

but back to strong alumn network mattering?
