I'm just finishing up my intern year and getting ready to start my training in anesthesiology in a few weeks. I was wondering what journal articles are considered to be the pertinent/staple/paramount articles in the anesthesiology world i.e. if you are an anesthesiologist or resident in training, you need to know about this paper. Thanks.

Excellent post....i'm with Sevo, that was such a short list

Why didn't my paper make the list. I think its incomplete.

"Kavain, The Hemodynamic Effects"

We should all know the results of this study.

Just joking, of course.

Hey vent. What do you think of the new tool album? They are my absolute favorite band. 10,000 days has too few songs and a lot of fillers in my opinion. Right in two rocks (my favorite on the album) as does pot, vicarious and Jambi. It's not AENIMA or LATERALUS or UNDERTOW. These albums are all so vastly different in sound and feel- they are some of the best music that ever hit the gunge/metal/alternative scene (can't really classify them really). Super sweet to play on the guitar (drop D). 10,000 days I feel is somewhere between lateralus and aenima. Not a bad place to be, but I wish they just had like three more songs on the album. I hope it's not another five years before they come out with a new album. Still, It's a bad-a$$.  What do you think?
Who is Alex Grey? I figured Adam Jones (guitarrist/artist) did the graphics on the album.... Hell, he's responsible for the T2 on terminator 2 as well as their videos.

Just checked out that site...looks like alex grey has done their art work since lateralus. Right on... something new in the "Tool" world. :D

Sorry, didn't mean to snag the purpose of this thread.

I agree with your synopsis of 10K days however I don't pick up on the filler bits. I dig the whole damn thing.

Vicarious is the schnizzle for sure.

Word to the tool fans out there.

This thread has officially been hijacked now.

10,000 days is one of their best albums. I can play it straight thru and keep it on repeat for hours. It is different from the others but that is cool.
Persaonlly I like: 10,000 days and The Pot. But it is really a toss up.

OK then, since it's a kidnipping...

I think Right in two is about the Iraq war and human nature in general....

Right In Two by Tool

Angels on the sideline,
Puzzled and amused.
Why did Father give these humans free will?
Now they’re all confused.

Don’t these talking monkeys know that
Eden has enough to go around?
Plenty in this holy garden, silly old monkeys,
Where there’s one, you're bound to divide it,
Right in two.

Angels on the sideline,
Baffled and confused.

Father blessed them all with reason.
And this is what they choose.
Monkey, killing monkey, killing monkey.
Over pieces of the ground.

Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They forge a blade,
And where there's one they're bound to divide it,
Right in two.
Right in two.

Monkey, killing monkey, killing monkey.
Over pieces of the ground.
Silly monkeys give them thumbs,
They make a club.
And beat their brother down.
How they survive so misguided is a mystery.
Repugnant is a (not dismal) creature who would
Squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here

Cut it divide it all right in two.
Cut it divide it all right in two.
Cut it divide it all right in two.
Cut it divide it all right in two.

Fight, over the clouds, over the earth, over sky.
Fight, over life, over blood, over air and light.
Over love, over sun, over another.
Fight, till they die (not all the time) Over what? Over Lies and (greed).

Angels on the sideline again.
Been so long with patience and reason.
Angels on the sideline again.
Wondering when this tug of war will end.

Cut it divide it all right in two.
Cut it divide it all right in two.
Cut it divide it all right in two.
Right in two.
Right in two.

I freakn' love these guys.
