Important question about postponing exam

So here's the deal, I already extended my test period, so on this application for the exam I have no more extensions left. I called ECFMG and they said I would have to re-apply for the exam and pay the fee for the exam again if I am not ready by my dead line. Does anyone know if not taking the exam during your original test period gets reported later on to residencies?
