MDs and DOs apply for the same positions, and therefore are entitled to the same salaries and benefits. Legally, there is NO DIFFERENCE between DOs and MDs. Because DOs tend to pursue primary care, average salaries of DOs may be lower than average salaries of MDs. However, DOs may supplement their income by providing OMM.
