OK! Apart from financial aid (FAFSA) how are you all paying for the incredible amount of tuition and fees. I am an international student so I do not qualify for FAFSA, do any one of you know of any worthwhile scholarship programs. I already have accounts of Fastweb and similar websites.

Studentaid.ed.gov has a scholarship search engine.
So does Sallie Mae.

I'm in the same boat..but trying to work out my way to get a private loan by getting some PR/USC co-sign the loan ( man, its really diffcult to convince people to get them co-sign the loan 😱😱 !!)

My understanding is that international students must demonstrate full ability to pay for school in the US before getting a student visa. Is this for undergrad only?

I would think that professional schools that choose to interview and accept international schools would want to know up front that the student (or the student's family) has the ability and willingness to pay for the education.

Am I missing something here?

I believe this thread is not started to find out if you are missing something here :meanie:

Yes you are right, by all means international students are supposed to finance their education by themselves (or through family).. but I think what the author of this thread would like to know is whether there is any opportunity for international students to get scholarships or any other source of funding apart from the personal resources (and as you all know its very expensive to pursue Pharm.D out here even if you receive FAFSA aid, which is usually a case with USC or PR)
