Hey guys... I am currently a D1 and so far, we have been in exposed to alginate and PVS (heavy and light body) for making impressions. I was wondering is there anything cheaper ($$), and still give a good solid impression that I can reuse besides PVS and alginate?

For what purpose? acrylic temp? There are numerous other material, like polyether, but it depends on what you want to do. If you wanna save cash on making temps, you can use impression putty or regular PVS to take half-arch impressions (unprep'd) and use those for all temps.

For just making temps out of integrity/acrylic products.
