i keep reading about averages and such on qbank but was wondering if anyone can tell me what they were getting in the beginning, what they were getting toward the end (and maybe even what their step 1 score) was b/c i haven't a clue what i should be scoring on qbank or how much i'll be able to improve with study. obviously it will depend on the amount of work i put in...but i'm just lookin to find out what's possible in say 6 weeks. i don't think raising your percentage 40% could be expected but what about 25-30%??? i don't want to order qbank and FREAK OUT when i get my first few scores!

i started out w/ like 35% on my first 150 questions. that we before studying anything at all. now i'm getting like 65%. so 30% is doable if you start really low like i did. lol

starting small makes the bar easier to raise.

I'd say that most people's percentage increases by about 10-20% throughout the entire QBank block.

i wonder if the ordering of qbank questions are the same. i noticed that after about 1/3 of qbank, qbank ran out of questions in subjects i was weak on such as cell bio. it also had some hard embryo q's that i didn't know when i started.

thanks, i'm starting with like 45% so i'm going to hope that 20% is the least that i'll improve b/c i'm affraid that will just barely be enough to get me a decent score...guess really only time will tell. i'm gonna go with bun and hope that my low start will allow a little more room for improvement than usual!!

the lower %age you start off with, the greater your chance for improvement. (sorry if this sounds obvious). I improved about 10%age points from the beginning.

This is a good thread. Please continue to post beginning and end QBank scores.

My score is currently at 60% overall with 25% of the total questions completed. Do I have any hope of hitting 70%???

This is all quite frustrating. My first 150 questions averaged like 63%. My last 150 questions averaged 56% after 2 MONTHS of studying! Dammit!

Does anyone have any hope to offer us? Anyone start out at around 60% and then finish up at 70% and score well on the real deal (like above 235)?

This sucks.

It depends on how you study before Qbank, if you study during Qbank, etc. If you started Qbank before, then your scores will probably dramatically improve. Are you doing them random, timed, etc.? There are a variety of factors but I'd agree you should see at least some improvement if you're only 25% complete. By the end some of the questions will appear really easy because they are almost exact replicas of a question you have already seen.

have others experienced this, going from 63% to 56% after studying?

a 70% is approx above 235?

what would 60% be?
