This is my first post but I've been a long time reader. I read other DAT retake threads but could not find the answer to my particular question. Anyway I just took my DAT and have a problem. Here are my scores:
PA: 22
QR: 16
RC: 20
BIO: 20
GC: 21
OC: 19
TS: 20
AA: 19
As you can see these scores are not too good, especially QR (on which I made a mistake at the end and ran out of time). I cannot retake the DAT until December since I just took it on Aug 28.
Should I even think about retaking the DAT and will it be too late to retake it in December?
Also, if I retake it without sending my scores and then call up the schools and tell them that I retook the DAT will they accept my new scores?
I'm from SoCal and applying to all Cali schools as well as Temple, Case, Marquette, VCU, and Howard. My GPA is 3.7 SCI/3.79 Total. I also applied late, submitting my application at the end of July. I know I'm out of consideration for some Cali schools because of my DAT scores. But, frankly, at this point I would be happy just to get into any dental school. Any help will be appreciated.
