Hi fellow sdners,

I'm a little worried about my predicament.

1. I'm studying for the DAT, which I'll be taking June 29th.

2. I'm working on my ps, which is no where to being done.

3. School Committee letter won't be done until July/August.

4. I sent in my transcripts, but from what I read here, AADSAS won't review it until I e-submit. (which won't be until my committee letter is received)

This means, I can only submit in July/August. This seems a little later than I had hoped. Is it still possible for me to get interviews (hopefully) early enough to still get accepted (prays) by December? I'm just curious because I understand this is rolling admissions and I hope to get in the first batch as my gpa isn't stellar.

Am I considered late?

Also, since I'm taking the DAT in 1.5 weeks, are there any pointers on what I should be focusing my time on? I feel slightly burnt out. I'm still considering whether or not to get the DAT Achiever as well.

Thanks so much!

Jenn

Spread that Jiffy on a toast and eat it! Don't stress too much. 1.5 weeks left means you should mostly just do problems and review some notes. But mainly focus on doing problems and timing yourself. Go hustle your committee.

Obviously the sooner you can get things in the better. Worst case scenario you have interviews that are after Dec 1. Trust me, I know it will seem like that if you don't have an acceptance come that date you are doomed but I know so many people who have gotten accepted after December 1st. All you need to be focusing on now is rocking your DAT and getting that personal statement done. If that means not having an interview or acceptance on the first possible day, don't sweat it!

Finish personal statement and application and submit. The application will get verified and ready to be mailed. Then you won't have to wait another month for it to process if you submit in August. You can submit without having your letters in. They will wait for the letters separately and mail them out.

Thanks! I'm attempting to take a few achiever tests and go over destroyer in this time. I'm just worried because on all of my practice tests (Kaplan + Topscore), I haven't been able to break an AA of 20.

Thanks, that sounds reasonable. I'm just not exactly working on my ps right now. But once it's done, I'm going to devote a couple days to it (and submit!). Do you think that will be enough?

That sounds great! I didn't know I can submit without the LOEs.
I read on some forums here that they are sending the first batch out around early July. If I e-submit before that early July date, would I make the first batch? or will the verification period take too long (a month?) and I'll miss it either way? I really want to avoid rushing my ps and send in something that I'm not completely happy with. I'm terrible at writing so I want to devote my undivided attention to it, rather than write it when I'm stressing over the DAT!
Another question is: once I do e-submit and they have not yet received my LOEs, would I have access to the "post e-submit" materials, such as secondaries and such? Or will I still have to wait till everything is received?

Also this question goes to who ever knows the answer!
When will the second batch of apps be sent out?

Thanks so much for the support and replies!

Some schools want you to wait until they contact you which is when they get your app until you send in secondaries. Other schools want you to send it in right away. If they want you to send it right away, then yes you can send it after you e-submit.

If you submit around the first batch date, then they still need to verify transcipts and process it, etc. Then you are put in a pile and wait to be sent out based on the date of when your transcripts were verified. Which can then take 4-6 weeks. They only send out ~400/week. So best to submit asap.

No one knows exact dates when the applications are sent out.
