Hey Y'all, I am about to start studying this Monday for my test date on September 14. I am planning on using the free AAMC scored practice full length as a diagnostic to see where I am at before I start studying. Do y'all recommend reviewing this one and making note of the questions I got wrong as I would with other full-lengths as I get further into studying? My thought process is that there will be a lot that I don't know as I did not do content review yet, and that reviewing this practice test will only bog me down with tons of topics to review that I'll learn shortly later on as I do content review. I'm leaning more towards not reviewing very thoroughly and just using this as a baseline for the future, but I was curious what you guys think. TYIA.

Using the free exam as a diagnostic is not a good idea, in my opinion. It is a full-length exam that helps identify content/thinking errors after you have completed the content review and maybe even some practice question review. The specific content you get wrong in the test would show that you haven't done the content review. i.e. you'll have a lot of weaknesses.

Take the diagnostic full-length in two months or so when you are out of the woods with content review and have had the opportunity to explore many biology, chemistry, physics, organic chemistry, sociology, and psychology topics. Then, when you take the diagnostic, you will find your true weaknesses.

Thoughts?
