In interviews, is it acceptable to reuse incidents already discussed in personal statement/secondaries?

For example, if the interviewer asks, "What is a challenge you've overcome?" or "Why do you want to go into medicine?" and you have answered/ discussed the answer in the school's secondary or in your personal statement, is it ok to regurgitate it? Or should you think of a different answer to these questions (e.g. think of a different challenge) ??

It's always a good idea to have multiple examples you can use. It's not uncommon for interviewers to be skimming through your essays open during the interview or a few minutes before your interview. Don't be afraid to mention your experiences but do your best to communicate and give an answer that does not sound like you are regurgitating a memorized script.

Of course it is. Also keep in mind that your interviewers may not have read your personal statement or your secondaries.
