Hi,
For those vets out there. Does stating that you are interested in AP/CP imply that you want to be a community practioner, and does stating that you want to go CP or AP imply that you are a researcher?
I am getting the impression there is not a lot of gray area. For instance I would like to do CP/AP with a possibility of being a teacher and involved in some research at an academic instution and still "practicing" (i.e. making the diagnosis of a person's illness). I would like to go to a academic center for residency, but am not sure if saying I would want to go AP/CP would turn them off.
Does anyone know what I am talking about?
How are the prevailing attitudes out there in the residency programs?
