In need of more practice questions!

Hi everyone!

I take my OAT on October 1 so I still have a few weeks to keep studying. I've been studying for a couple of months and so far, I've reviewed all of my physics and gen chem/orgo from Cracking the OAT and Cracking the DAT books. Biology is my strong point so I didn't review it in as much detail. I did all of the practice questions in those books, and also all of the practice questions and tests from the OAT kaplan book. I have the ada test but I want to leave that for last. I'm in need of some more practice questions and was considering getting OAT achiever, but I've already spent so much money (applications to 7 schools, OAT registration, travel expenses, interview attire, the books I've already purchased, etc).

Does anyone know of any other study material/practice questions that is/are pretty good?

More questions comes, unfortunately, from spending more money. Kaplan's online materials are amazing and offer a huge number of questions and tests. I never even made it through half of the total amount. Well worth it though, but it's expensive for someone who has already used other materials.

Did you do pretty well on your OAT studying from kaplan?

I've already studied from their OAT book, the blue one with the practice questions and practice tests. I found it useful but would like some more practice questions. If I have to spend more money to do well on my test, then I will definitely do that because I don't want to take it more than once. I'm leaning towards getting the achiever to help me with my time management.

The OAT Destroyer from Orgoman is fantastic IMO, but it's pretty costly and since you've already dropped a bunch of bills on everything else...

You could always go to your school library and see if they have any MCAT books w/ questions, or there's always "downloading" study material .... ;-)

DATqvault gives you a free test in bio.. more study questions there.. it times you for 40 questions in 30 minutes. Good practice and highly reccommended from DAT students. I know we're taking the OAT but the material is so simlar that the DAT destroyer and OAT destroyer are exactly the same minus the physics portion we get. My best friend took the DAT the same day I took the OAT and we studied together. The only difference was her PAT and our Physics

I ended up getting OAT achiever, Ive done 1 natural science section and did well. Thanks everyone for your feedback! I'm gonna keep studying from achiever and hopefully it will be worth it on OAT day 🙂

I reviewed all of my chem and ochem from a DAT book and it worked pretty well, I'm doing well on the practice questions thus far 🙂

I looked into destroyer but it says it would've taken 5-7 days to arrive and I'm down to my last 3 weeks of studying 🙁 so I don't really have the time to wait for it. If I have more time after I finish the achiever I will def check out the library!!

Haha, I bought them in May and never touched them until I had exactly 2 weeks before my test in August.


But yeah, make do with what you have. It's kind of senseless for you to spend that amount of money and have them only for such a short time frame...

🙁 about the destroyer. I would like to get it too for more practice b/c i have heard great things.

I would try going to your local bookstore like barnes and nobles and see if they have any books in the store for OAT or DAT. You may get lucky there and just bring your study materials.
