Hello everyone,

So I have just finished my sophomore year of undergrad. Here are some of my stats:

Overall GPA: 3.57
Pre-req GPA: 3.6

Internship/volunteer hours: 200 hours at 2 separate out-patient locations (Will reach 1,000 by the end of the calendar year). Looking to land an in-patient position by the end of summer.

I know it is way too early to judge since I am only finishing my sophomore year. Though, I worry about not being able to complete all my pre-reqs before application deadlines. At the rate I am going, Physics 1 and 2 would still be incomplete by the application deadlines.

If I keep up my GPA and continue to receive exposure in out and in-patient settings, along with receiving good GRE scores, is it possible to still be accepted without physics 1 and 2 being completed before the application deadlines? Thank you for your time, everyone! Please feel free to share any thought or opinion you may have.

depends on the school
Some programs require all prereqs done when you submit your application, but most don't.

I have a friend who got accepted into a couple very good schools that was in a similar situation as you. She took physics 1 the same fall she applied, and got accepted, then took physics 2 the spring after.

It varies from school to school. Some schools want no more than 2 outstanding prerequisite courses at the time of application, some want no more than 4. As long as they're completed before a certain date, usually the summer before your first semester starts, you'll be fine
