Thank you in advance for the advice. I'm honestly looking for any constructive criticism on my outlook for MD and DO. Please excuse the length of the post!

Research Experience
DNA replication, repair, and checkpoint pathways protect us from the lesions that arise during exposure to UV light or other DNA damaging agents. However, problems such as mutations in any of these pathways can lead to an unstable genome which is the hallmark of cancer cells. Research from various labs has shown that DNA replication and repair proteins play an important role in maintaining genome stability. Our laboratory is interested in understanding the role of minichromosome maintenance protein 10 (Mcm10) in preventing DNA damage. Mcm10 is an essential part of the replication fork and plays a vital role in replication fork stability through interactions with proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), DNA polymerase alpha (α) and helicase.
