Greetings, I am unsure of what to do at this point in time and have come here to seek some guidance.

I am from Canada and my stats are as follows:
BSc:Biology graduate w/ cGPA: 3.6, sGPA: 3.8.
MCAT: 2012 - 10/08/10/O - 28O | 2013 - 10/05/10 - 25 | 10/2014 - 10/06/10 - 26 | 12/2014 - 12/03/11 - 26*
* I have sent a request to have my exam rescored due to my verbal score, but it is unlikely to change.

Consider my extracurricular activities well above average.

I have applied very early on in June to the MD and DO schools. I have been rejected by most MD schools and have not heard back from the rest but do not expect an invite. A couple DO schools have rejected my application but the others have mailed me claiming to have me on hold. I will be calling them tomorrow to figure out where I am in their process, but given light of my recent scores, I do not expect an interview invite.

I am unsure of what to do now. My heart is still in medicine but verbal seems to be my only leash from getting to it. I am quite tired of writing the MCAT over and over again. This is my second time applying for MD, first for DO. I've done practice tests** prior to writing and consistently scored around 7-8. I was getting <7 at the start of practice but eventually caught onto my mistakes.

**1/2 Gold standard for 2012, 1/2 Gold standard for 2013, AAMC/TPR - 2014x2 [never redid any test]

Should I stop pursuing medicine and consider other alternatives, atleast I can say I gave it my all.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

For a Canadian applicant, your MCAT is a kiss of death for MD schools. You'll have better luck with DO schools provided you apply broadly to all those schools that accept international applicants.

Do not retake the MCAT...you have plateaued out.
