I was accepted to two schools and am having a tough decision picking which ones. I'm not going to say which schools at first to avoid anyone jumping on here and hating on one or the other. The private school tuition and expenses are roughly 30K more a year then the state school but the private school facilities overall blow the state school out of the water. Instate education as well doesn't seem to compare to the private school education from what I saw when interviewing at both places. They both are pretty similar in living conditions outside the campus in terms of expenses although the private school is in a slightly bigger city. I've applied to get the army HPSP scholarship so the tuition and expenses may not matter but I have to decide before I will know whether I'm getting the scholarship or not. I would much rather go to the private school but my fear is that I wont get the scholarship and will have to pay off enormous loans. Anyone else struggling through a similar situation or have any suggestions?

Based on your DAT/GPA, you seem like a smart guy. Crunch the numbers and see if that monthly loan pmt is worth the difference for a shiny school.

ya could pay deposit for both and hopefully you'll hear back before the deadline

dang son 30,000 x 4 = 120,000.
ya could pay for another person to go to dental school

Go for the state school! Private school seems really expensive....thats like 120k (add in the interest and that'll definitely go up too). I believe they give only unsubsidized and grad plus loans in dental school. Someone correct me on this.
