Does anyone know which schools offer in-state tuition after the 1st year for OOS students?

I think the New Jerseys schools and University of Cincinnati do.

Any others?

I know that SUNYs do too...AND they say that they don't give preference to in-staters (although I'm not so sure about that)

I think a few other Ohio schools do, although I haven't checked about that yet.

I'm pretty sure all state schools in Ohio do (I know Toledo does). The UMDNJ school I had experience with was going to give IS tuition instantly, no year wait, btw.

I'm pretty sure all the Ohio schools give you residency after a year, but I'm not sure that all of them are open to OOS residents.

All are open, as far as I know, but Wright State and NEOUCOM are harder to get into from OOS. At least in terms of OOS percentage in each class.

You know we're talking about tuition after the first year, right? Not actual applications? Also, schools in the deep south tend to be very unfavorable to OOS applications... I believe most GA schools do not accept ANY OOSers.

I know Colorado just changed their policy where you are OOS all four years. They used to have it so you payed a huge amount first year, and then got in-state tuition the other three, but they just balanced it out, so you pay like double all four years.

So far we've got....

the SUNYs
Cincinnati
Toledo
New Jersey schools (upon acceptance)
possibly Ohio State, NEUCOM, Wright State

any others?

I'm so sorry to bump this thread but to broaden our knowledge on this topic: does Texas give in-state after 1 year? Other threads seem to be undecided on this

Texas schools normally give a scholarship that brings tuition down to in-state levels.

Texas schools give IS after 1 year of living there (or if you're lucky for M1 year a tuition waiver that brings your OOS to an IS figure). In order to get IS for M2-M4 year, you have to work with the financial aid office at your school. I've successfully done this for anyone who has questions.

Oregon definitely does not. It is state law that the living is before beginning school

They don't? I'm an NYS resident and was counting on that...

They do. They're NY public schools. Granted, the preference is much lower than that of, say, WVU.

University of Missouri-Columbia does the 1 year IS tuition thing too but they're very heavy instate.
