Hello all! I'm checking schools that I want to apply to and schools that I will actually be able to afford (I'm sure there is a cutoff as to how many loans I can take out 😡 ). It says on the UMDNJ - New Jersey Med School site that matriculants can qualify for in-state tuition before they start. Anyone have any idea how this works?

Thanks!

Basically just as it states, all matriculating students are considered as in state and pay in state tuition.

I believe I remember one of the admit people saying that you just have to show up with a NJ driver's license a few weeks before class begins and you get instate tuition.

If you look at the big statistical medschool surveys (MSAR, others) UMDNJ schools generally have "0%" out of state because of the flexible residency definition.
