In what course did you obtain your lowest grade?

Phys Chem 1. Boy, was that rough......it was like the worst of Physics, the worst of Gen Chem, the worst of Calculus all rolled into one giant nightmare.

Two classes: Organic Chemistry I and American History II (Honors option). I made an A in both classes (after a lot of blood, sweat, and tears), but I made C's at the beginning.

This is really sad but.. I got a B- in 2-D art... which means I suck at drawing.

4-way tie. I got B's in Calc I, Calc II, O-Chem I, and out of all things a taekwondo class. Out of those I think I had the lowest final grade in Calc I. The taekwondo class kinda pissed me off, the prof set it up so that out of the entire class only one person got an A. You had to be ridiculously bad to get a C, and you had to be insanely good to get an A. Still pisses me off thinking about it.

college algebra. my teacher was this witch lady who would not teach and give "surprise" tests. needless to say i failed that, but go figure...i got an A in calc. weird.

Math Analysis 3 (3rd semester of Calculus)

I averaged a C going into the finals. The professor motivated me to at least try my best on the final. I ended up with a B in that class. Phew! It was my closest call to getting a C on my transcript. I had a hard time understanding Calculus 3 even though I went to class daily and did all the homework.

Note: Isn't it odd? I was one of the best students in Calculus I and II but when III came along, I was totally lost. Anyone else in the same shoes?

That's how I was too. I got a B too in calc III. I HATED calc 3. Then again, I always hated things in 3-D

My worst class was pharmacology... they decided to have the test on the exact same the day the huge lab report for the pharmacology lab class was due. (This department frequently had tests on the same day - way to help us out ) I got an A in the lab... not so much in the lecture

In one term of English I received a B- (lowest university mark), while in another I received an A+.

F in speech. I missed 3 classes, automatic F. I got an A when I retook it though.

I can't even remember all the classes I got Fs in. But that was me blowing off the final to take advantage of the grade replacement policy. I did try in my Physics class and got a D+. I was pretty surprised by that one because I had a C going in.

I got a C+ in biochem. I had an A going into the final too!

Did you have Henschen or is she not around anymore? Her exam screwed my grade.

Calc 3 was my worst with a C. I was so lost in that class with trying to find the tangent line to the curve that was created when a cylinder and sphere intersected. What the...? I hated the 3D stuff.

like the others, calc III was the worst for me: C. 3-D is killer, I never understood how to set up the triple integrals and just put random numbers at the top and bottom. Surprised I got a C actually, thinking worse.

Ohh and that worthless Chemical Engineering class where I got a D, it wasn't hard either, just got a little too cocky going into the final.

Intro to visual art. Got a D. Retook it with grade replacemen, got another D.
I was one of those weird people who's science GPA was higher than the cumulative instead of the other way around.

Physics: C and C+

Microbiology Lab: B-, unfortunately I guess my TA didn't like me, I get A's on all my practical lab exams, and when it comes to writing a research essay she destroyed me because she found out that I already reported the same subject at a presentation for my internship 😳
frustrating when your in a class that you like, and you have all your **** down..you walk away with a grade that just makes you want to jump off a bridge. (I got an A in the lecture portion)

B- in upper div inorganic chem lab (7 hour lab). Had an A until the lab practical.

So far I've made my only 'C' in a 1 credit-hour anatomy lab.

Our only grades in the class were 2 cadaver exercises and 2 lab practicals. I failed the 1st practical pretty badly and made an A on the 2nd one, but I needed to make 2 more points on it to earn a 'B' in the class.

i've made a C in calculus I. even though i stayed up 'til 2 every night studying with a friend on the subject, i just couldn't grasp it.

took it again and got an A. 🙂

Oh I forgot to mention this one!

I took O-chem my 2nd year. I didn't realize that pharm schools required 3 qtrs of o-chem and 3 qtrs of ochem lab until later in college (you take lab and lecture separately whenever you want either simultaneously or split up). I ended up taking the o-chem lab for 3rd series (which was the only lab i didn't take) the summer of my 4th year. The course material that they taught me my 2nd year was no longer the same 2 years later. Not only that, I had forgotten a lot of the key concepts. I got a C+ in that lab too 🙁 . I averaged an A- in the lectures!

so these were my only grades below a B.

C+ in Stats and a C in Organic Chem I. 👎

Got a D my first time taking English comp. 2, come out with a 69.3. COMON!!!!.....If only she had a heart. 🙁 Oh well, thanks to her i am retaking the class with another teacher right now and he is awsome! Overall, I'm glad that i didn't score anything below a C for any my science course, which is a relief.

C-; pchem
and it was a pity C- too. i was well in the bottom 25 percentile, but prof said she didnt' ever want to see me again.
i am a champ

F in ochem, literally fell asleep on the final exam for like 30mins.

Retook the following quarter for an A, got B & B+ on the next two respectively. It wasn't really learning, it was more that I figured out how to take tests.

Hey look at me now, going into P-2 with a rockin' GPA at a school w/candidate status. :luck:

Phys Chem 1. Boy, was that rough......it was like the worst of Physics, the worst of Gen Chem, the worst of Calculus all rolled into one giant nightmare.

What a great description! PChem 2 for me - the only C in undergrad.

Molecular biology. First and only C ever in my entire academic life. This is rather ironic though since Pchem is the class that I expect to do worst, and it turned out the opposite. The grade for this class and pchem class "switch" place for some reason.

Molecular biology C+. What's sad is that I learned more from working in a lab than I EVER did from that class.

organic chem I - C
organic Chem II - C

in my undergrad years:
F in 3rd quarter English comp, retook and got a B.
D in vertebrate anatomy
C's in o-chem the whole year, multivariable calculus 1st quarter, p-chem 1st quarter, intro to philosophy, a special studies ethnic studies course and history of black Africans course.
NC in quantum mechanics and intro to logic course.

I have NO idea how I got my chemistry degree. I think my undergrad was just being way too generous with me or felt sorry for me. Most of my other bad grades were after I had already gotten into graduate school and I was coasting and just had to pass (literally anything above a D).

Luckily, I scored enough A's in my other courses and could include those for my humanities/social sciences pharm app instead of all the C's and NCs. When I retook my prereqs a few years ago, I wondered why all the courses were so hard the first time I did it and why they seemed so easy the second time. Then again, I actually studied this time around and cared about my grades.

B- in bio chem... the most cumulative class I have ever takenn

Small group communications - D (missing two classes = loss of one whole letter grade)-I missed one day, professor said I missed two, he said he'd change the grade, never did.

Physics I - Withdrew, retook, got an A... then TA'd it. That's how you turn a frown upside down.

Genetics - C+... absolutely brutal class

Chem 1, Medieval History, and Germanic Studies - B's. I do not like history.

It's a tie between Intro to movement science and first semester general biology.. both classes I got a B-

C in g chem lab and physics lab. I tried really hard in both, but the TA's were brutal graders. We were lost points if we didn't get the same product or yield as the TA did in chem

My lowest grade was a D in College Chem I lab (missed two, third would have been an F), retook for an A. I also got a C in A+P lab, thanks to someone stealing my lab book...

Metabolic Biochemistry- D+....got A on midterm...fell asleep on final...gahhh (was attempting to pull allnighter but failed miserably hahaa)

Gen Chem I: all 3 tests were C. Final did super good 96/100 from ACS test (so proud of myself 🙂). Final grade was A.
Orgo I: C

C+ in calculus-based physics

Starting off with a 20% on your first exam is never a good sign of things to come.

F in speech. I missed 3 classes, automatic F. I got an A when I retook it though.

Ahh aint that a bitc*. A similar thing happened to me in public speaking. I missed 3 discussions to go to a buckethead concert and two 311 concerts. I had over 100% in the class but that dropped me to an automatic C. Had to retake--got an A+. Clearly my priorities were in the right place.

Macroeconomics.

Why? Because I am ******ed and did not realize attendance to lectures were mandatory.

C+ in Physics => Physics sucks
