inclement weather prevented from taking TOEFL test

I scheduled to take Toefl Test on Dec 19, 2009 and because of some weather problem computers/servers in the test center were not working and as a matter of fact all the students in the center could not write the test and now the earliest available date is Jan 16, 2010.

As we all know Jan 4th is the last date for the NYU application, also contacted NYU and explained to them that if they can accept my application after my Toefl result comes (probably February 1st week) but they told NO.

If anyone faced the same any idea what I should do … I don’t want to wait for next year.

The only thing you can do is look around for a new date in other cities ASAP. It is worth traveling than wasting a whole year... at least that is what I feel. Where do you stay if i may ask ?

That’s what the problem is there is no date available before January 16, 2010 in whole US – BTW I stay in NY

Oh Jeez I forgot I guess due to the holiday season or some maintenance the next available date is Jan'15. Oh damn is this the first time you taking the Toefl ?

no this is my second time, applied for the NYU with old score but NYU accept the updated score before Jan 4th not after that already had a word on this at NYU.
