Include personal life updates in LOI?

I am working on writing a letter of intent for an out of state school. In my secondary, I expressed that my ties to the area were that my partner (boyfriend at the time)’s family lives in the same town as the school. We got engaged a month ago so we’ll be getting married soon. My question is - is it appropriate/helpful to provide this update, as it makes the pull stronger? Since they’ll officially be my family soon, not just his? Thanks in advance 🙂

Thank you! No date yet bc I don’t know where I’m going to school yet and academic calendars & location will influence things… maybe December, maybe May or June 2024. Lots of uncertainty haha.

I interviewed 2/10 and was waitlisted 2/14.

I don't think this will have much influence, because your details are so vague, and also only send one letter of intent.
